Summer Health HBS Business Case Study
Yesterday, Ellen DaSilva and I had the honor to share the Summer Health story in Jeffrey Bussgang Launching Tech Ventures class at Harvard Business School
The central question: Should Summer Health go all in on AI?
I won’t spoil the case, but a few things stood out:
It was a privilege to watch a room full of sharp, analytical MBA students deconstruct our business to 'first principles' —technology, go-to-market, unit economics, even the intangible stuff like how AI shape the empathy betwen provider-patient relationship.
Seeing Jeffrey Bussgang in action. He doesn’t just teach; he pulls students into critical thinking. Not just forming opinions, but testing them, debating them, and then stitching together opposing ideas to get closer to truth.
A day later, what sticks with me isn’t just the debate. It’s the reminder that there’s a new generation of builders coming up—leaders who care more about impact than profits. The future’s in good hands.
